Views of spring training

Am sitting in the press box at the Reds’ Ed Smih Stadium. Sadly, the team is moving to Arizona next year, which really stinks, because this is as good as it gets. Wonderful sleepy town, loyal fans. One of my favorite spring memory remains the time I followed the Reds to downtown Sarasota, where the mayor presented the team with a baseball autographed by the city council. That, and a quarter, might get you a quarter.

But it was quaint. And sweet. Reminded me of the stories my dad would tell of the 1950s, when Coca-Cola cost a dime and nobody had gas. Ahh … the days.

Anyhow, I used my computer camera to capture these. Just for kicks, from up above …
