According to a Washington Post story, a group of Christian scientists who don’t believe in conventional medicine are fighting to have any new government health plan reimburse their practice.
And what, you ask, is their practice? Spiritual health.
Yes, they pray. And pray. And pray. Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science, teachers her followers that sickness is “a delusion.” Rather than consulting a doctor when you are ill, you should pray. Then, if you pray hard enough, the government will reimburse you for the time.
Or the cut on the leg turns into an infection, starts oozing funky things, and the dude dies.
