This week’s column …

… Charles Haley, and why he belongs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame (more than Emmitt Smith).

  1. I’m not sure what impact Haley really had: he had only 6 sacks in 1992, his 1st season, and 4 in 1993. He did ramp up his production the following 2 seasons, w/ 12.5 sacks in 1994 and 10.5 in 1995. Was his impact felt more by his fellow players? Did double-teams in his direction allow other Cowboys to get sacks? Did he help instruct his fellow players on how to pass-rush? Those questions need to be answered.
