I’m not kidding. In fact, I challenge someone to come up with a better death moment from the silver screen. I didn’t think Star Trek II was brilliant, but it ends more dramatically than any sci-fi film I’ve ever seen. Spock’s plastic face falling apart. Kirk overacting (without uttering a single word!). I absolutely, positively love it. And, when she’s feeling chipper, I can even get The Wife to join me in a reenactment.
