The best death scene in movie history

I’m not kidding. In fact, I challenge someone to come up with a better death moment from the silver screen. I didn’t think Star Trek II was brilliant, but it ends more dramatically than any sci-fi film I’ve ever seen. Spock’s plastic face falling apart. Kirk overacting (without uttering a single word!). I absolutely, positively love it. And, when she’s feeling chipper, I can even get The Wife to join me in a reenactment.

Try not to cry …

  1. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few…or the one! I definitely get choked up when Spock utters that last part in that raspy radiation filled voice, before sliding down the glass wall as Kirk and his hand follow him down.

  2. Was in the movie “Seven”. The final scene where so many times you have seen someone shaking the gun, wanting to kill someone, then putting the gun down.

    Fuck that. BLAM BLAM BLAM.
