Today’s column …

… is on the NFL’s plan to expand to 18 regular-season games.

Terrible, terrible idea, on 800 different levels.

  1. Jeff –

Happy to hear you and the fam are enjoying Spain and France! Send everyone our regards.

Great article today. Every year I hear stories of former NFL players and their struggles with their physical health. Scary!

  2. Agree with you. I’m for a 16 game season, but add an extra week so that each team can have 2 byes.

Also, cool tidbit: My roommate in college, his dad was roommates with Lyle Alzado at Yankton College in South Dakota. I guess it closed over 20 years ago and is now a prison.

  3. Nailed it. The Commish & Owners frantically work to fix what isn’t broken. If Goodell can manage to stretch the Super Bowl past midnight or cancel it altogether, he just might be ready to take over as Baseball Commissioner.
