When the Eagles named Michael Vick their starting quarterback last week, the Philadelphia Daily News released this paper:
The question is: Funny or tasteless?
I have to say … funny. Tasteless. Both? Neither. One of my good friends, Bill Fleischman, works for the Daily News and covered the Flyers for many years for the paper. He was the first one to mention the headline to me; said, “I don’t see the big deal—it’s a tabloid. It’s funny.” I agree with Bill. There was a big stink, but we need to be able to laugh at ourselves.
