I don’t love this

I mean, I love the message. But if you want to sway people—to show them you’re serious about a cause—this is the absolute wrong way to go about it.

There is a debate to be won here, and the side in defense of gay rights has gained a ton of ground. Stuff like this, however, only reinforces your base while alienating those against you.

But I do find it interesting. And entertaining.

  1. Somehow I don’t think they give a rat’s ass if they persuade anyone of anything, but I’ll admit I only watched about twenty seconds.

  2. There’s so much hate in that video.

People could stand, generally, to be less hateful and more tolerant. And I think this applies to all sides of the political spectrum.

  3. This doesn’t offend me, but
    I swear way too much.
Why put kids in a video like this, that seems pretty irresponsible.
Also, why does the left always accuse the right of being hateful and intolerant? It seems to me (conservative who couldn’t care less about who marry’s who as long as everyone is a consenting adult and human) the left is as vitriolic and hateful as they come, at least for the most part.

  4. I absolutely love it, but you’re talking about someone who swears like a truck driver and writes erotica 🙂

However, I see a subtext with the constant use of the F-bomb. What does that word mean? It means sex. Which is really what a lot of the antigay hate is about…it’s not about marriage, it’s about people grossed out about two guys or two girls getting it on. If you look at it in *that* light, then it’s f’ing *brilliant* 🙂
