A WEEI.com hockey writer named Graig Woodburn died of pancreatic cancer on Saturday. He was 50.
I never met Woodburn, but I’m always sad when a young member of the sports journalism “family” passes. According to WEEI’s website, Woodburn “covered both the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings for the Riverside (Calif.) Press Enterprise, The Associated Press, and Sporting News for the past decade. He served as a Bruins beat writer for WEEI.com throughout the 2009-10 season, last reporting on June’s NHL draft in Los Angeles.”
