I’m sitting in Cosi, and I just ran into my daughter’s kindergarten teacher. My girl is now in second grade, but she still visits her past teachers whenever she can.
Anyhow, the kindergarten teacher sees me and says, “Your daughter is so sweet.”
“Thanks,” I said.
“She really is,” she said. “Yesterday she came by my room and gave me a Valentine’s Day present. It was so sweet.”
This almost brought tears to my eyes. Yesterday was the Valentine’s Day boutique at her elementary school. I gave her $10 to buy gifts for my wife and son. She bought the teacher a hair clip.
My day is made.
