Just returned inside after preparing our house for the ensuing hurricane. While preparing to shower, I turned on ESPN News. Heard the anchor say something like this: “With Hurricane Irene brewing along the Northeast, there is another storm that is taking place in Louisiana. The LSU football program …”
Nobody else is home, so I screamed—screamed!—at my television. “Noooooooooo!”
To be brief, not only is this hurricane far from a laughing matter, but Louisiana recently experienced a storm of its own. A HUGE storm. One that, in large part, destroyed New Orleans.
Two minutes later, the same guy said a player “doubled in the gap like Banana Republic and Old Navy.”
So there’s that, too.
Glub.
PS: Above photo is my garage, hurricane ready (I hope).
