Back when I was researching the Walter Payton book, I enjoyed a lunch with his son, Jarrett.
Toward the end of the meal, Jarrett told me that, in the years since his father’s passing, he sees the number 34 everywhere. Clocks. Cash registers. Football games. “Everywhere I look, it’s there,” he told me.
Well, since my book’s release last month, new reviews appeared on Amazon by the day. I mean, the total shot up, from 2 to 8 to 10 to 14 to 22. Then, about six days ago, it stopped and hasn’t budged since.
