JEFF PEARLMAN

JEFF PEARLMAN

An open letter to Six Flags Great Adventure …

… from Casey Pearlman, my 10-year-old daughter, who began to cry when she learned the park has decided to take down Rolling Thunder, its classic wood coaster (and her all-time favorite ride). They are replacing it with a modern, super-drop ride that will scare the hell out of people.

I’m writing to ask you to reconsider taking down Rolling Thunder. I am a 10-year-old girl who loves Rolling Thunder. That ride was my first roller coaster ever. I love the bumpy track, fun hills and the suspense building on the first drop.

I understand that people like the big, fancy, catch-your-eye rides. But some people like me actually like those old, bumpy and classic wood rides. You have only two wood roller coasters and now you only have one. You are losing a lot of customers because people like to start small. I always like to start with that ride. I will talk to my family about changing our annual trip from Six Flags to Hershey Park.

Sincerely,

Casey Pearlman
