From the time Donald Trump entered the 2016 presidential race, he has been barking and ranting and accusing and mocking.

From the time Donald Trump entered the 2016 presidential race, I’ve been barking and ranting and accusing and mocking—about the USFL.

For those who don’t know, the USFL (United States Football League) was a three-year spring pro football league that existed from 1983-thru-1985. Donald Trump was the USFL’s most prolific owner, as well as the man who ruined the league via greed and a callous indifference to others.

Over the past few days, as Trump has taken on the NFL and its players, I’ve been asked a ton about the old league (the subject of my next book, “The Useless”). Anyhow, I refuse to shut up about this awful excuse for a non-human, and any chance to shed some light on what he did to the league is a blessed one.
