Another great American …

VRFUWsuH_400x400

So proud of Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn, who today blocked a bill that would require campaigns to notify the FBI when foreign nations offer aid.

It was an amazing moment for this great American hero, whose pledged allegiance to Donald Trump means protecting the president at all costs, while repeatedly ignoring the well being of a nation that, just three years ago, had its election compromised.

There was a time, not all that long ago, when serving in congress or the senate meant standing up for the United States of America. It meant being a patriot. It meant defending our interests as a country, not the interests of an individual. It meant placing land over party. It meant being loyal. It meant being righteous.

That, of course, is now dead.

Here’s the worst part: Marsha Blackburn is not my cup of tea, but she’s far more intelligent and worthwhile than Donald Trump. So is Mitch McConnell, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Mike Pence. Yes, they’re all people who—politically—I abhor. But they’re not idiots, and they’re not without accomplishments.

Yet somehow, they have set any pride aside, and now kneel at the knee of a lifelong conman.

It is, genuinely, pathetic.
