Every so often …

… really happy white Christian people gather together to sing.

I know this to be true because, even though I happen to be a grumpy Jew, I’ve snuck in. I remove my Star of David necklace, remove “Oy” and “motherfucker” from my vocabulary, remove any inclination to fart or burp. Then I enter the Happy Room, where the white Christians gleefully sing of the days when blacks were slaves; when men ran the households; when Ronald Reagan pretended AIDS didn’t exist.

Ah, the good ol’ days.

I digress. Watch this—now …

You know, it’s interesting that you mention those really happy *white* Christians, because on any given Sunday, you’ll find some really happy *black* Christians just as gleefully (if not more so) singing the same. exact. songs.

Ah, I guess they’re singing about the good ol’ days when blacks were slaves, too, huh?

Wow, that’s a strange response.

How does that have anything to do with your insinuation that white Christians who go to church on Sunday and sing are secretly longing for the good ol’ days when blacks were enslaved?

Ok, so attack the people that are positive, loving and genuinely trying to help people, but completely ignore, another religeon that hates women, gays, christains and especially jews. They roit for over a week and murder people because some freakin’ books were destroyed. And christains are evil, according to a gutless hypocrite.

Those lyrics were painful.

“Maybe the first time since Ronald Reagan…”

So 12 years of Bush didn’t do enough damage for you?

Do they realize Reagan’s agenda would get rejected today for not being “conservative” enough? For being willing to compromise with the other side for the sake of the common good?
