If you’ve been reading this blog for a long enough time, you might remember the horrible plight of Brian Hickey, my ol’ Delaware chum who was nearly killed by a hit-and-run driver 1 1/2 years ago.
Well, Hickey has made a remarkable recovery. He’s as crass and snarky and rude as ever (ha!), and a writer with one of the sharpest pens I’ve ever seen (this is his fantastic blog).
And, on June 29, he became a first-time father. Congrats to Brian and his lovely wife, Angela, on the arrival of baby Louden Charles.
This is just a guess, but when you come this close to death, the power of life must really resonate.
