A few moments ago Kelley L. Carter, one of my Facebook friends, posted a link to the Amazon order page for the Hutzler 571 Banana Slicer. Her exact comment: “I SO needed this laugh this morning. Check out the reviews; these are HILARIOUS.”
Quite often, we humans misuse hilarious. Did you see that skit on SNL? Did you ever see the Parent Trap? Did you watch America’s Funniest Home Videos? All—hilarious.
Or, often, not.
This time, Kelley was right. I’d argue the 1,874 people who teamed to review the 571 have pieced together one of the all-time brilliant comedy collections.
