Had a funny thing happen earlier today.
So we met some people here in California. Started talking for a while; guy was a big sports fan. He asked what I did, I told him I write sports books, the conversation continued for a spell. Then he said, “Wait a second! I hear you promoting your Lakers book on ESPN!” Then he turned to his wife and said, “He wrote a pretty well-known book!”
“Wow,” she said. “We’re walking with a celebrity.”
“Yeah,” he said. “When I heard the name Jeff Friedman, I knew it was you …”
