In case you missed it, earlier tonight a writer named Kurt Eichenwald Tweeted the following:

Then, quickly, he deleted it.

To be clear, I am not saying Donald Trump was institutionalized in a mental hospital for a nervous breakdown in 1990. However, I am also not saying Donald Trump was not institutionalized in a mental hospital for a nervous breakdown in 1990. What I am saying is that one must ask why Donald Trump has been unwilling to provide proof that he was not institutionalized in a mental hospital for a nervous breakdown in 1990. Is he hiding something? Because it seems like he’s hiding something. Otherwise, why wouldn’t Donald Trump simply provide proof that, in 1990, he was not institutionalized in a mental hospital for a nervous breakdown? That’s what I would do, were I Donald Trump and were I institutionalized in a mental hospital for a nervous breakdown. As Donald Trump could have been.

But here’s a twist. We at jeffpearlman.com have sent people to Trump Tower, to find out whether Donald Trump was institutionalized in a mental hospital for a nervous breakdown in 1990. And we’re discovering some very interesting things. Things that will surprise a lot of people. About whether Donald Trump was institutionalized in a mental hospital for a nervous breakdown in 1990.

So it is up to Donald Trump to prove that Donald Trump was not institutionalized in a mental hospital for a nervous breakdown in 1990.

To be clear, I’m not saying he was.

I’m also not saying he wasn’t.
